Questions? We've got you covered.
Why is there no standard bundle for clearing?
If you distribute articles via newsletters, live feeds or intranet application to a selection of readers, you have to pay clearing rights. Belga works with Copiepresse and License2publish for this purpose. How much depends on the number of readers and sources. For more information, please contact sales@belga.be.
Do you have a range of foreign newspapers and magazines?
Yes. Although this is limited to French, Dutch, Luxembourg and a few other sources. For more information or a price request, contact sales@belga.be.
What about radio - and television?
Thanks to Belga.press, you can also include the main national and regional radio and television channels in your monitoring. We selected the main actua programmes, make them searchable. You can watch them streaming and cut relevant excerpts. For more information or a price request, please contact sales@belga.be.
Do you also represent foreign news agencies?
Yes. Belga has media monitoring agreements with AFP, DPA, ANP, among others. For more information or a price request, contact sales@belga.be.
In analysis, how do you determine sentiment, media value and media reach?
To assign a sentiment score, we rely on AI technology developed in collaboration with the VUB. Thanks to the manual annotation of hundreds of articles, a machine is now able to assign sentiment. Thus, the attribution to an individual article may well be wrong, but trends across the many thousands of articles are obviously correct. For media reach and value, we align with calculation methods used by other media monitoring and media analysis companies. For media reach this is based on the CIM figure, for media value the equivalent ad value of a print, online or radio, television clip.
